Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using SnapRecall AI (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

3. Access without an account

SnapRecall AI does not require an account, login, or email address to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for activity performed through your copy of the app. Some purchases or downloads may require an account with an app marketplace, but that account is provided and controlled by the marketplace, not by SnapRecall AI.

4. Limited app license

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, solely for lawful personal or internal business use and subject to these Terms. You may not rent, sell, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer, bypass security, or create a competing service from parts of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

5. Your screenshots and content

You retain ownership of screenshots, recognized text, corrections, collections, searches, and other content you use in the app ("Your Content"). You represent that you have the rights needed to use Your Content with the Service and that doing so does not violate law or another person's rights.

The app accesses and processes Your Content locally only to provide the features you choose to use. Your screenshots and screenshot-derived content are not uploaded to SnapRecall AI or a cloud AI provider. You are responsible for maintaining any backups you want and for managing content stored on your device.

If you separately submit a message through our feedback form, you give us permission to receive, store, and use that message as reasonably needed to review it and respond. Do not submit screenshots or sensitive personal information through the feedback form.

6. On-device AI features

The Service uses an AI model that you download to your device. Screenshot analysis, text recognition, organization, search, and other AI processing run entirely on that device; images are not sent to us or to a cloud AI service for processing.

AI-generated titles, summaries, categories, search results, keywords, dates, links, locations, reminders, or suggested actions may be incomplete, outdated, misleading, or wrong. They are provided for convenience and are not professional, legal, medical, financial, safety, or other expert advice.

Review results before relying on them. You remain responsible for decisions, messages, purchases, travel, deadlines, calendar entries, and other actions taken from generated information. Do not use the Service as the sole source for an emergency or a decision where an error could cause harm.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• Break the law, infringe rights, harass others, or create harmful or deceptive material.
• Process content you do not have permission to use.
• Introduce malicious code, interfere with operation, or test security without written authorization.
• Resell or exploit the Service in a way that exceeds its intended product use.
• Bypass paid-feature access, purchase checks, security controls, or technical limits.
• Use generated results to make high-impact decisions about another person without appropriate human review and lawful authority.

8. Purchases, trials, and subscriptions

Some features may be free, trial-limited, available as a one-time purchase, or require a paid subscription. Available plans, prices, billing periods, trial details, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the marketplace account that processed the purchase.

Payment, billing, cancellation, restoration, and refunds are governed by the marketplace through which you purchased, together with applicable law. Removing the app or its local data does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Features and prices may change prospectively; any notice required by law or the billing channel will be provided.

9. Device permissions and external actions

Features may request access to your photo library, microphone, speech recognition, notifications, calendar, or sharing tools. You control these permissions in device settings. Some features cannot operate without their relevant permission.

SnapRecall AI may prepare actions such as opening a link, setting a reminder, sharing content, or creating editable calendar details. Review destinations, dates, times, participants, and other details before confirming. You are responsible for the action after confirmation and for complying with the rules of the destination you choose.

10. SnapRecall AI ownership and feedback

The Service, including its software, on-device AI model, design, branding, documentation, and other content supplied by SnapRecall AI, is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. If you send ideas or product feedback, we may use them without restriction or payment, but we will not publicly identify you without permission. Providing an email address with feedback is optional.

11. External services and links

The Service may rely on an app marketplace or delivery service to distribute the app and on-device AI model, and may let you open websites, maps, calendars, sharing destinations, or other apps. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, availability, security, or transactions. A link or integration does not mean we endorse the destination.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains the app's on-device data and AI processing, the limited information our website and purchase channels may receive, and how optional feedback is handled. It is part of your understanding of how SnapRecall AI works.

13. Stopping use

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the app and its local data from your device. Because SnapRecall AI does not create a user account or cloud screenshot library, there is no SnapRecall AI account to close. Removing the app does not cancel an active marketplace subscription; cancel it separately through the marketplace.

Terms that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute provisions, remain effective after you stop using the Service.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent storage, exact recognition, complete search results, or that every feature or on-device model will be compatible with every device. Keep your own copy of important content and verify time-sensitive details.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapRecall AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including any responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-excludable harm.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify SnapRecall AI from claims, losses, and reasonable costs caused by Your Content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by SnapRecall AI.

17. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may also update these Terms to reflect product, legal, security, or operational changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change materially reduces your rights, we may provide additional notice where reasonably practical or legally required. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the operator of SnapRecall AI, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. Any unresolved dispute will be handled by a court with lawful jurisdiction.

19. General terms

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement about the Service unless a separate written agreement applies. If one part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our written permission; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law.
