Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how SnapRecall AI ("SnapRecall AI," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the mobile app, website, feedback form, and related services (together, the "Service"). It does not govern third-party apps or services you choose to open, export to, purchase through, or otherwise interact with.

2. No account or login required

You can use the app without creating an account, signing in, or providing an email address. We do not collect account credentials, passwords, authentication records, or account recovery information because SnapRecall AI does not provide user accounts.

3. Screenshot privacy and local storage

Screenshots you import or share with SnapRecall AI remain on your device. Screenshot images and information derived from them, such as recognized text, titles, summaries, categories, links, dates, locations, prices, tags, keywords, collections, favorites, and search data, are stored and used locally by the app. SnapRecall AI does not upload these images or derived contents to our servers or store them in our cloud.

Information kept on your device may be included in a device backup if you enable backup features from your operating-system or device provider. Those backups are controlled by that provider and its privacy terms, not by SnapRecall AI.

4. 100% on-device AI processing

Screenshot analysis, visual understanding, text recognition, organization, and other AI features run entirely on your device. No screenshot or screenshot-derived content is sent to SnapRecall AI, a third-party AI provider, or any cloud service for AI processing.

You download the on-device AI model to your device. The app marketplace, hosting provider, or delivery service used for that download may receive ordinary connection and download information, such as an IP address, device or app version, request time, and download status. The downloaded model processes your images locally and does not send them back to the model provider.

AI-generated results may be incomplete or wrong. Review them before relying on them, especially for financial, legal, health, identity, travel, safety, or deadline-related decisions.

5. Information we may receive

Optional feedback information

If you submit the website feedback form, we receive the name, topic, and message you provide. Providing an email address is optional. If you include one, we use it as the reply-to address so we can respond. Please do not include screenshots or sensitive personal information in your feedback message.

Website and technical information

Our website hosting, security, and analytics providers may process routine technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referrer, timestamps, approximate location, performance data, and security logs. We use this to operate, secure, and understand use of the website, not to build advertising profiles.

Purchases and subscriptions

If you make a purchase, the app marketplace processes your payment details under its own terms. We may receive limited purchase information needed to unlock or restore paid features, such as a product identifier, entitlement status, transaction identifier, and purchase or expiration date. We do not receive your complete payment-card number.

6. How we use information

• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• Deliver and restore features or purchases you request.
• Deliver the on-device AI model and app updates.
• Respond to feedback or support requests when you choose to contact us.
• Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, comply with law, and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell personal information, use screenshot content for advertising, or build cross-context advertising profiles from your activity.

7. Service providers and disclosures

We disclose only the limited information described above when needed to operate and protect the Service. Relevant providers may include website hosting, privacy-focused web analytics, email delivery for feedback, model and app download delivery, mobile platforms, and app marketplaces.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, protect users or the Service, investigate abuse, obtain professional advice, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. Because screenshots and their derived content are not sent to us, we cannot disclose content we do not possess.

8. Device permissions and platform features

• Photos or media library: import, find, organize, export, or delete screenshots with separate operating-system confirmation.
• Microphone or speech recognition: convert speech into a search query when you choose to use voice features.
• Notifications: show reminders or summaries that may appear on your lock screen.
• Calendar: create an event only after you review and confirm its details.

You can change permissions in device settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission. Operating-system features may be governed by the platform provider's privacy terms.

9. Retention and deletion

• On-device screenshots and derived data remain until you delete them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to device backups.
• Optional feedback is kept only as long as reasonably needed to review it, respond if requested, maintain support records, and meet legal obligations.
• Website analytics, security, and technical logs are retained according to operational, security, and legal needs and our providers' settings.
• Purchase records may be retained by the app marketplace and by us as needed for administration, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, and law.

Since there is no SnapRecall AI account or cloud screenshot library, there is no account or cloud screenshot data to delete from our systems.

10. Your rights and choices

You control on-device screenshot data through the app and your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, restrict, or object to our processing of personal information.

To make a privacy request, use our feedback form. We may ask for information reasonably needed to locate a prior message or verify that the request concerns you. You may also complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority.

11. Security

Keeping screenshots and AI processing on-device reduces the need to transmit sensitive image content. We also use measures designed to protect the limited website, feedback, purchase, and technical information we handle. No device, storage, or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and keep its operating system and the app updated.

12. Age requirement

The Service is not directed to children and is available only to people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor submitted information through our website, contact us through the feedback form so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

13. International transfers

Our website, feedback, analytics, download, and purchase providers may process the limited information described here in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Your screenshots are not transferred by SnapRecall AI for AI processing.

14. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects your privacy, we may provide additional notice in the app or on the website where appropriate.
